Technical Textiles

The SVITAP portfolio includes the manufacture of woven foils that have significantly better rigidity compared to the mechanical parameters of regular foil types, thanks to incorporating a reinforcing grid. We also manufacture high-quality synthetic leather and leatherette, developed to meet the specific needs of the relevant industrial sectors. Our NANOMEMBRANE subsidiary develops proprietary, heavy-duty laminate membranes with excellent parameters, such as extremely high vapor permeability, water resistance, and wind resistance. Another SVITAP product is our fully recyclable PET strapping tape, which is used in medium- and heavy-duty applications where various objects need to be securely fastened. In addition, we manufacture greige, dyed, and other technical textiles.

Woven Foil

SVITAP reinforced fabric foil is made from high-tenacity woven polyethylene straps coated with low-density polyethylene. Other materials include additives, such as UV stabilizers, dye concentrates, and flame retardants. Woven foil has a broad range of applications and can serve as roofing foil, reflective vapor barrier foil, insulation foil, polytunnel foil, material for making tarpaulins, covers, bags, and much more.

Coated Fabrics

SVITAP's production facility in Chropyně makes traditional Czech leatherette, a product with a long history developed to meet the specific needs of relevant industrial sectors. SVITAP's leatherette is used in upholstery, automotive products, transportation, clothing, footwear, mining, aerial advertising, sports mats, and various other special applications.

PET Strapping Tapes

PET strapping tape is a heavy-duty polyester tape designed to be an extremely rigid and strong alternative to straps made from steel. As such, PET strapping tape is the successor to steel straps. PET strapping tape is the optimal choice for medium- and heavy-duty applications where objects need to be securely fastened, such as sheet metal, wooden beams, textiles, concrete products, cartons containing cans or bottles, printed matter, and tiles.

Technical Textiles

SVITAP manufactures greige, colored, and other textiles for both civilian and military applications. The textiles are made from cotton, linen, jute, bamboo, hemp, polyester, polyamide, polypropylene, and other materials. Technical textiles can be treated with antifungal, water-resistant, and oil-resistant PVC coatings or a nanofiber membrane that also guarantees high vapor permeability and wind resistance.
