Collaboration with STINGRAY: When Laminate Meets the Wind
Technical textiles and functional membranes find use in many industries – from construction to protective clothing. One of our long-term partners is the Czech brand STINGRAY, which produces top-quality sailing apparel. Thanks to this collaboration, we had the opportunity to peek behind the scenes of functional material development that can withstand extremely demanding conditions.
Production, Testing, and Development in the Czech Republic
STINGRAY designs and sews its garments directly in the Czech Republic, just as we manufacture our textile laminate at our plant in Svitavy. As part of a joint video, we visited their workshop where prototypes and final products are made, and we also welcomed their team to our production facility so they could see the lamination process with their own eyes.
One of the key topics of the conversation was quality: how resistance, breathability, and waterproofness of materials are tested in practice. STINGRAY regularly verifies the performance of their products directly on the water – in conditions that show no mercy.
Our Membrane as Part of a Functional Solution
The textile laminate we produce for STINGRAY forms a key layer in their technical solution. Our membrane provides a high level of waterproofness and breathability, while maintaining maximum comfort for the user. Thanks to precise production control, we can tailor the lamination parameters to the partner’s specific needs – in this case, sailing apparel.
