Unique Combination: Feather and Nanomembrane 

The Liberec-based outdoor company OutdoorKWAK has been operating in the market since 2021, specializing in the production of sleeping bags and outdoor clothing. Sleeping bags are the company’s key product and the foundation of its business, which started with a frog in its logo. It all began with a chance meeting between Eva Hrstková and David Pařízek, who was looking for someone to sew a sleeping bag according to his specifications. They started working together and what began as a small workshop has grown into a thriving company with ambitions to expand into foreign markets. 

KWAK sleeping bags stand out for several reasons. The first is the combination of precise tailoring craftsmanship with a unique nanomaterial. The fabric used for KWAK sleeping bags was developed in collaboration with SVITAP, respectively NANOMEMBRANE and the Technical University of Liberec, where a method for industrial production of nanofibers was discovered. At SVITAP, we laminate a nanotechnology membrane onto polyamide, giving it properties that allow it to perform even in the most demanding conditions.

The application of nanotechnology in down products is what sets OutdoorKWAK apart from the competition. The company holds an exclusive license for the fabric, meaning no one else in the world can use it to produce sleeping bags. 

The sleeping bags are filled with Czech goose feather, which is known for its excellent thermal insulation properties, long lifespan, and ultra-lightweight nature. The feather is remarkable for its compressibility, up to 85%, making it ideal for travel. Goose feather is odorless and undergoes repeated washing and sterilization at temperatures between 150-400°C before processing, giving it a lower allergenic potential than standard synthetic fillings. Additionally, it is 100% recyclable.

The KWAK brand is also gaining popularity due to its custom-made sleeping bags, tailored precisely to individual customers. They take customer measurements, listen to their preferences, and design exactly what they need.

Besides sleeping bags, the company also produces outdoor clothing—including jackets, vests, gloves, skirts, and pants. They have recently expanded into children's products, such as down sleeping bags, jackets, gloves, and booties.
