SVITAP tent fabrics - we continue the tradition of Czech production

After many years of producing tent fabrics in Svitavy, we proudly continue this tradition — now in cooperation with Czech partners, following our original technological standards and maintaining the high quality our customers know well. SVITAP technical fabrics have long been associated with honest craftsmanship, quality materials, and fair pricing.
Thanks to this, we offer reliable tent fabrics for a wide range of professional and craft applications.
Why Choose SVITAP Tent Fabrics
Our tent fabrics are based on a long tradition of technical textile production in Svitavy. The entire process — from manufacturing to final finishing — takes place in the Czech Republic, in cooperation with trusted partners who share our values of quality and craftsmanship.
We use technologies and standards that we developed during our own in-house production, which allows us to maintain consistent parameters, stable quality, and full control over the final product. Another advantage is fast availability: we keep tent fabrics in stock and respond to inquiries without delay. We also allow for smaller order quantities, which is appreciated by smaller manufacturers or organizations with irregular demand.

Applications of Tent Fabrics
Our tent fabrics are widely used across various industrial and outdoor sectors. Thanks to their durability, natural appearance, and quality finishes, they are suitable for both traditional manufacturers and modern suppliers of outdoor systems.
They are typically used for producing:
- tents, teepees, and shelters — from tourist and scout tents to historical replicas
- market stalls and field kitchens — where robust and durable fabrics are required
- pergolas, shelters, and protective covers — suitable for gardens, campsites, and commercial operations
With two fabric types available (cotton and blended), manufacturers can choose the best material based on expected load and the environment in which the final product will be used.
Quality Finishes for Long Service Life
Besides the inherent strength of the fabric, final treatments play a key role. To ensure SVITAP tent fabrics perform reliably in demanding outdoor conditions, we offer them with a water-repellent or fungicidal finish — or a suitable combination of both, depending on the application.
Water-repellent finish – reliable protection against water
The water-repellent finish creates a thin protective film on the fabric surface, preventing water from penetrating and allowing it to run off. It increases resistance to rain, moisture, and short-term exposure to water. With proper maintenance, the fabric retains its properties even after long-term use.
Fungicidal finish – protection against mold and microorganisms
The fungicidal finish protects the fabric from mold, bacteria, and unpleasant odours that may develop during prolonged use in humid environments or improper storage. As a result, the fabric remains hygienic, strong, and free from fibre degradation, significantly extending its lifespan.
